There are a number of social events to participate in during KVC. Whether you
want to indulge in a round of golf before the conference starts or you're
looking for family entertainment, you'll find something for everyone. You may

PVF Golf Outing
12:00pm, Hershey Country Club—East Course
PRIZES SPONSORED BY MERIAL, LTD.
A golf outing to benefit the Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation will be held on
Tuesday, August 11, at 12:00pm. The event, held at Hershey Country Club’s East
Course, will feature an 18-hole, four-man scramble format. The cost is $125 per
player which includes greens fees, cart, range balls, and $10 donation to PVF.
Come support this worthy cause and enjoy the day with your colleagues.

Exhibitor Appreciation Reception

Plan to attend our annual Exhibitor Appreciation Reception to visit with the
many vendors exhibiting at this year’s conference. These companies have and
continue to support Keystone Veterinary Conference and we encourage you to show
your appreciation. Each registrant will receive one complimentary drink ticket.
There is no charge for this event.

Penn Vet Alumni Reception
5:30–6:30pm
Continuing in a well-established tradition, Dr. Joan Hendricks, The Gilbert S.
Kahn Dean of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine,
cordially invites convention registrants and their guests to attend a reception
for UPENN alumni. There is no charge for this reception.
Hall of Fame Dinner
6:30–9:00pm
Plan to attend this complimentary banquet immediately following the UPENN Alumni
Reception to help award winners celebrate their accomplishments. The
Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) and Pennsylvania Veterinary
Technicians Association (PVTA) join together to honor the accomplishments of
fellow colleagues, students, organizations, media, and even our animal heroes!
THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR FULL-CONFERENCE REGISTRANTS TO ATTEND, HOWEVER
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Cost for guests and daily registrants to attend
the banquet is $50 for adults and $20 for children (ages 3-12); children 2 and
under are free.

Junior Hall of Fame Breakfast
8:30–10:30am
Each year PVMA holds a poster and digital photography contest for Pennsylvania
schoolchildren in recognition of National Pet Week. The winners whose posters
best depicted “Imagine the Pawsibilities: Vets Helping Pets Help People” will be
honored with a Junior Hall of Fame breakfast where they will receive their
awards and have their artwork on display. Winners of our digital photography
contest whose photos best represented “A Photo Shot of Love” will also be
honored and have their photos on display. If you wish to attend, please check
the appropriate box on the registration form. Cost is $20 per person.
Kids’ Cookie Decorating
3:30–4:00pm
Back by popular demand! To prove to even the youngest at heart that Hershey is
the “Sweetest Place on Earth,” a cookie decorating activity has been planned for
Saturday afternoon. Kids will have the opportunity to decorate cookies with
frosting, candy, chocolate, sprinkles, and other fun toppings at this event.
Kids—bring your parents, they will enjoy it too! Participants must be at least
six years of age or accompanied by an adult. Cost is $15 per person.
Laugh Til It Hurts With Kevin Fitzgerald PVF Benefit
6:00–7:30pm
Join Animal Planet’s star of Emergency Vets, Kevin Fitzgerald for an evening of
hilarious stand-up comedy and help the Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation (PVF).
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to PVF. Light hors
d’oeuvres will be provided and a cash bar will be available for drink purchases.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to enjoy Kevin outside of the classroom! Cost
is $25 per person.
ZooAmerica After Dark
8:00–10:00pm
Join us following the carnival for a behind the scenes tour of the zoo. The tour
will consist of a visit to the Animal Health Center, a chance to feed the
otters, a flashlight tour through the zoo buildings, the opportunity to hold a
small bird or touch an alligator or snake, and also watch fruit bats being fed.
Each participant will receive a drawstring backpack complete with a flashlight,
snack, drink and items needed to complete the zoo activities. ATTENDANCE IS
LIMITED TO THE FIRST 20 REGISTRANTS. The tour is NOT recommended for children
ages 2 and under. Cost is $50 per person. Transportation will be provided. |
