Join Dr. Michael Moyer and Dr. Temple Grandin for an Animal Care Pre-Conference
Forum on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, from 9:00am–4:20pm. This program is
intended for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and assistants, humane
society police officers, and humane society/shelter staff.

3rd Animal Welfare Forum
Thursday, August 12, 2010, 9:00am - 4:30pm
This year’s forum, entitled “Working
Together for Animal Welfare from Farm to Fork,” will feature keynote speaker Dr.
Temple Grandin, nationally-known animal welfare expert from Colorado State
University. The forum will focus on how veterinarians and producers work
together for humane treatment of animals at every stage of life from farm to
fork and will examine some of the issues each industry faces when tackling
animal welfare. The day will conclude with an optional tour for veterinarians
and veterinary students of nearby modern agricultural facilities.

Did you know that the Keystone Veterinary Conference offers over 150 hours of
continuing education credit to choose from and each attendee can earn up to a
total of 31.50 hours of CE credit? If you register for individual days, the CE
hours are as follows:
- Wednesday—6 hours (pre-conference forum)
- Thursday—7.50 hours
- Friday—6 hours
- Saturday—6 hours
- Sunday—6 hours
This program offers veterinarians and veterinary technicians licensed in
Pennsylvania a total of 31.50 hours of approved CE by the Pennsylvania
Veterinary Medical Association. Please note that CE credit is not offered for
lectures featured in the practice management educational track. This course has
been submitted for 31.50 hours of continuing education credit for veterinarians
and technicians in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval.
