I’m having a difficult time affording the registration fee, what can
I do?
KVC offers a monetary incentive to everyone who moderates sessions during the
conference. Moderators are paid $50 if they moderate a 3-4 hour block of time or
$100 if they moderate a 6-8 hour block of time. Moderators are responsible for
the following:
- Address any problems with audio-visual (by contacting an onsite
A/V technician)
- Keep the speaker on time
- Make announcements at the beginning of the session block
- Track attendance during each 55-minute session
- Introduce the
speaker (a written bio will be given to you)
- Monitor the room temperature (and
contact maintenance using a house phone if adjustment is needed)
Therefore, if
you moderate a full day each day during the conference, you will be paid $400!
What forms of payment are accepted? Check, made payable to PVMA or Visa, Mastercard,
or
Discover.
